The Ear, Nose and Throat department works in two NHS trusts: 'Brighton & Sussex university hospitals' and 'Worthing & Southlands NHS trust'

Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals


The Ear, Nose and Throat outpatient department is situated on the second floor of the Royal Sussex County Hospital and is well sign posted from the main entrance. Clinics are conducted in the department, and it is also the site of our audiology and speech and language services. Some outpatient clinics are held at Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath.

Adult Inpatients

From Monday 29th November all adult ENT patients requiring admission or surgery will be on Albourne Ward on the first floor of Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath.

Child Inpatients

Children requiring admission will be treated at the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton.

Worthing and Southlands NHS Trust

Ear Nose and Throat Outpatients are based on the ground floor of Worthing Hospital. Adults requiring admission or surgery will be admitted to Botolphs Ward, Children to Beach or Barn. Please note that on Weekends there is no ENT cover and inpatients will be transferred to Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath for this period.
